Real Madrid is unlikely to pursue a transfer for Paul Pogba.

Pogba has been the subject of transfer rumors in each of the past two summers with several teams from England as well as Barcelona linked.

"[Pogba] is a great player," Florentino Perez said. "I don't want to talk about him, but I will say that in midfield we have six great players."

Real Madrid has had difficulties playing all of their midfielders with Toni Kroos and Luka Modric nearly automatic starters, leaving Casemiro, Isco, James and Mateo Kovačić competing for time.

Florentino Perez said Real Madrid may not return to negotiations this summer on a transfer for David De Gea.

Keylor Navas enjoyed a great season in goal for Real Madrid.

"I am not the one who has to decide," Perez said in an interview with Marca. "I would say it is very difficult to manage two great players in this position."

De Gea signed an extension with Manchester United after his Real Madrid transfer fell through.

Bayern Munich have rejected a €50 million offer from Real Madrid for David Alaba.

Real Madrid's director general José Ángel Sánchez has held meetings in Munich on numerous occasions with the players father George Alaba who oversees in business matters relating to his son.

Alaba is signed with Bayern through 2021 and the club won't consider any offers below €80 million.

Alaba is considered one of the world's best left backs and would replace Marcelo.

Real Madrid will exercise their buyback clause with Juventus for Alvaro Morata.

Morata has been linked with a move to England with Arsenal interested.

But Morata has interest in simply joining Real Madrid, his hometown club.

"Clearly that is what I would like. That is my wish, to succeed in Madrid," he told AS.

"But in Madrid there are great players. And what I want is to play and feel important."

Morata emerged in his two seasons with Juventus.

"There are some offers from England that are tempting, not only by contract," Morata said.

"I think for my characteristics the Premier League would also be a great destination.

"I'm saying a move to the Premier League would not be a step backwards. With what I have learned in Italy, if I have the chance to learn something more in England I think it would make me a more complete, better player.

"I'm 23 and all I want is progress, to play and learn from the best."

N'Golo Kante insists he's happy remaining with Leicester City "for now."

Kante has been linked to a move to Arsenal.

Leicester signed Knate for just £5.6 million in August of last year from Caen.

“For now, I am happy at Leicester,” he told L’Equipe. “I do not pay too much attention to everything that is said. For now, I am in Leicester and I focus on the Euros.

“I think that my season at Leicester surprised everybody. People liked to see a new Premier League champion. We had a magnificent season and then my debut with France went well. Maybe my journey also helps compared to other people who come from amateur football.

“I try to stay the same. I am not aware that my personality is different.”

Borussia Dortmund have dismissed rumours that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is about to leave as "nonsense."

Journalist Francois David wrote on Twitter that Gabon national manager Jorge Costa had been asked not to select him against Mauritania "because he is in the process of changing clubs."

Aubameyang has been linked with a £70 million transfer with Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City and Arsenal all interested.

Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke told Sport Bild: "That's all nonsense."

Aubameyang, crowned CAF 2015 African Footballer of the Year in January, said earlier this season that his "childhood dream" was to play for Real Madrid.

James Rodriguez would like to remain with Real Madrid after a season in which he fell out of Zinedine Zidane's plans.

James was signed by Real Madrid from Monaco in 2014.

"In football you never know but I want to continue here and my idea is to have many more years with the club," he told reporters.

"I am happy here. All the people close to me are happy too. It's the ideal club and I want to be here."

James didn't play in the Champions League Final.

"Yes, I would have liked to play but I did contribute to the team's success," he added. "They were all good and it was a very good Champions League victory."

He said his season had been a "bit strange" but added: "When you have bad times you also learn from them. Each day I learn more."

Leicester City are close to signing keeper Ron-Robert Zieler of Hannover 96.

Zieler began his career at Manchester United before returning to Germany.

Zieler had been linked to moves in the past to Manchester City and Everton.

It is not clear how Zieler’s arrival will affect the status of current No. 1 Kasper Schmeichel.

Robert Lewandowski's agent has confirmed talks have been held with Real Madrid.

Cezary Kucharski told German news magazine Spiegel: "Real Madrid contacted us a few weeks ago, we listened to everything they said. It's a big and exciting club. We have informed FC Bayern that we've held talks with Madrid."

Lewandowski himself added: "Contracts are not a holy relic in football. You can like this attitude or not but it's the truth. Sometimes you have to think about if it is meaningful to try out a new impulse."

Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to offer Lewandowski a six-year deal worth up to €25 million per season.

Lewandowski joined Bayern Munich from Borussia Dortmund in 2014 on a free transfer.

Bayern would likely require a fee of at least £50 million for Lewandowski, who has three years remaining on his deal.

With Mario Gotze attempting to remain at Bayern Munich, Liverpool are considering a move for Sadio Mane of Southampton.

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur also have interest in Mane.

The Senegal international is of interest to Jürgen Klopp, who is in the market for a forward who suits his high-intensity pressing game at Liverpool and had hoped to sign Götze from Bayern Munich for a fee of around £20 million.

Mané would cost significantly more than the £20 million earmarked for Götze and remains under contract at Southampton until 2018.
